About Emyri

The story behind Emyri.

Emyri started five years ago the way most good things do — in a conversation between two friends who couldn’t stop talking about the same problem.

One of us bought beautiful things and never wore them. The other wore everything and never felt put-together. We’d send each other photos from fitting rooms, talk each other in and out of purchases, and always end up at the same gap: everything was either lovely or livable. Almost never both.

So we stopped waiting for someone else to fix it and built the wardrobe we kept describing to each other. Five years on, Emyri is that wardrobe — worn by women in over 30 countries, and still designed the same way: for the way real women actually get dressed.

What makes Emyri special?

Designed by two friends

Every piece is designed for ourselves first and approved by both of us. If we wouldn’t text each other about it, it doesn’t go in the collection.

Loved worldwide

What started at one kitchen table is now worn by 50k+ women worldwide — to the office, to dinner, to nowhere in particular. And with every order, 2% goes to Women for Women International.

Rated 4.7/5 by 12,000+ women

More than 12,000 women have rated their Emyri pieces — an average of 4.7 out of 5. We read every single review.

Made to be lived in

We design for longevity, not trends — quiet favourites that travel with you, work with everything and still feel like you in three years.

Where it all began

2021

It started with an idea — and one conversation too many about the same problem. Olivia bought beautiful pieces she never wore; Sophia wore everything and never felt put-together. In 2021, at a kitchen table covered in fabric swatches and half-finished ideas, the two friends decided to stop waiting for someone else to close the gap between lovely and livable — and to build the wardrobe they kept describing to each other.

The first collection

2022

Emyri launched online with one small, obsessive edit: a handful of pieces the two friends would happily wear on repeat. No trends, no filler — just the quiet favourites they had been searching for all along. The first run sold out faster than they dared to hope, and the restock requests told them everything: they were not the only ones who wanted both.

Word travels

2023 – 2024

What began between two friends grew into a circle of thousands. Women wore Emyri to the office, to dinner, to nowhere in particular — and told their friends. Soon Emyri pieces were being worn in more than 30 countries, while every new design still had to pass the same test: would we both reach for it on a Tuesday morning?

2025 – Present

Today Emyri is a complete wardrobe — clothing, shoes, jewellery and accessories — trusted by 50k+ women worldwide and rated 4.7/5 by more than 12,000 of them. It has outgrown the kitchen table it started at, but it still runs on the rule it started with: elegant pieces for real life, designed to be worn, loved, and worn again. And every order gives a little back — 2% goes to Women for Women International, supporting women as they rebuild their lives after conflict.

The faces behind Emyri

Behind Emyri are Olivia and Sophia — two friends who have spent half their lives dressing each other: for interviews, for first dates, for the days nothing felt right.

What began five years ago as an idea at a kitchen table is now a wardrobe worn by women around the world. The rule has never changed: everything we design, we design for ourselves first. If neither of us would reach for it on a Tuesday morning — and text the other to say you have to get this — it doesn’t make the cut.

“The nicest compliment we get isn’t about a dress. It’s when a woman tells us she felt like herself in it — only a little more so.”
